What?

You may be asking yourself, “What does my earlier haiku post have to do with technical writing?”

Well, while technical writing is the act of writing on the job, it is also an art form. That art form is the ability to write technical documents, instructions, and reports well. It is also the ability to say what you have to say as precisely and as briefly as you can.

Learning to write haiku is very similar. You must choose your words wisely, precisely, and use concise and exacting language to get the message across to your reader using the 5/7/5 syllable pattern.

Enough said.
